Westerville South HS 2025

2025 Westerville South High School Marching Band Production "Somnia" Featuring Drill Design by JJ Visual Design

Westerville South High School explored the world of dreams with its 2025 production, Somnia. Built around a dream-inspired concept, the show used ethereal imagery, fluid movement, and shifting surreal soundscapes to create an atmosphere where the boundaries between reality and imagination could blur.

Under the direction of Jacob Austrino, the Wildcat Marching Band enjoyed a successful competitive season. Westerville South earned second place in Class AAAA and Best Music at the MSBA Miamisburg Invitational. The ensemble also earned a Superior rating at the OMEA Thomas Worthington Contest, qualifying for the OMEA State Marching Band Finals.

Drill for Somnia was written by JJ Visual Design Owner and Visual Designer Jeremy Jorgenson, using flowing forms and evolving staging to complement the production’s dreamlike character and bring its surreal world to life on the field.
